Lester Millado is a Filipino-Canadian cinematographer born in Toronto and raised in Scarborough, the city’s eastern edge where cultures overlap and beginnings take root. As the eldest child of immigrants, raised in a household shaped by transition and care, he grew up within a community as vibrant and layered as the stories he’s drawn to tell.
His approach to narrative and commercial work leans into texture and intention, shaping natural light, rich colour, and composed movement into frames with depth and feeling, always in service of story and the voices too often left outside the frame.
An Associate Member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers, Lester’s work has screened at festivals around the world and earned awards along the way. Still, the real reward is the making of it: the trust built between takes, the shared momentum on set, and the quiet click when an idea becomes a frame that feels true.
If you’re looking for a cinematographer who blends craft with heart and a calm, confident set presence, say hello.
